I wrote that thread a while ago and I'm trying to figure out which ASUS would best suit my needs. I really like the ASUS brand and I feel that it would probably be the best for what I'm looking for. I really would like an i5 with great battery life, light and a good enough video card to play SC2 decently well. Thanks for reading!

Never mind, I typed a whole post on 15" models, but you want a 13". I've never researched them. Honestly the best small laptop is probably the Alienware m11x with a core I5 and GTX330

I'm sure it's a solid machine, but is there something hidden and great about the M11x that I'm not seeing? Ultra-low voltage CPU (huh?), budget GPU, near-netbook size display..$1050? That hardware is optimized for long bouts away from electrical outlets. Gaming while camping? Is it the cool red glowy keyboard? It generally gets good reviews, so I guess I'm missing something.
edit: just saw some benchmarks and it looks like that little sucker does fairly well. must have some kind of mojo hidden inside. -
13 inch, get one of the ul30 w/ i3/i5. Aside from the AW option, that's about all you can do for 13 inch gaming. I hear there are some other 13 inchers coming out with nvidia's 335 ... but I don't know where/when/who.

Which ul30 is the best option? Where can I get it with the i5? I really liked the bamboo when it came out but as I stated in my post it looked like a bad option because of some underclocking.

Also, I'd be interested in a 14 inch. Whats the difference between the U43JC and the U43F? Are they decent?
Which ASUS?
