Which Asus Laptop?

Right now I'm stuck between which two laptops to get, both from Asus. So if you could please help me decide I'd appreciate it.

Here's the two I'm debating between:

1) Amazon.com: ASUS K72JK-A1 17.3-Inch Versatile Entertainment Laptop - Dark Brown: Electronics

2) Amazon.com: ASUS K42JC-A1 14-Inch Versatile Entertainment Laptop - Dark Brown:…

The main difference (to me) is the screen size and the different graphic cards which are an ATI Radeon and the new Nvidia Optimus ones.

So which is a better value? All answers are greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.

Oh and one last quick question...Do all Asus laptops, regardless of who you buy them from (new of course), come with Asus's 2 yr limited warranty and the 1 yr ADW?

 

Unless you purchase from Best buy, the 2 year warranty should apply to your purchase.

I would personally go for the k42, the lower price, coupled with optimus technology and the portability edges it ahead of the k72.

Although, depending on what you're buying the laptop for, the added realestate provided by the bigger k72 screen (with a higher resolution), may be handy (e.g. for photo editing etc).

However, if you have a budget of around 1K, I would strongly suggest looking around a bit more (there are definitely better configs available at that price range) and maybe dropping a thread here:
