    Hi, everyone
I am looking for a new laptop.
I have not thought about Asus until like 10 mins ago, the one I looked at is Asus C90S, It amazed me how powerful it is.
I almost pulled the trigger on HP DV2500t, or 6500
but now, I want to look at Asus,
My budget is around $1000, top line $1200
Little gaming, but not bad to has for the future.
No more than 8 lb for sure.
I want it to be able to carry around.

Any Asus can meet my desire?

P.S. Since Asus does not sell directly to US, any warranty if buying? like 1 year warranty for hp and dell???

You can definitely configure the C90S within your price range, it is a powerhouse of a notebook. I am not sure if you will want to carrry that around. You should check out the C90S lounge and ask what people are doing in terms of carrying it around.

As for other Asus models you will need to bump up your price range to something like $1500 to get something that will fit your needs a little more.

With regards to warranty, Asus Ensemble units comes with 2 Years Global Warranty, and you can extend this. As for barebone systems like the C90S, you will receive the resellers warranty. Which is usually 1 year.

The C90S can be configured in the 1200 price range in the US with a cpu like a E4500 and a 120-160 5400rpm HDD. Of course without OS.

I don't own one myself but the weight (6.8lbs) is similar to most gaming 15.4'' laptops but you have the fans in the back. Battery life is 45 minutes-2hours.
