None, only one particular model, the V6va had it.

    Thanks. Lucky us!

I consider it odd that the Lambos do not have IPS.

Don't consider it anything... there aren't enough IPS screens to keep up with demand.... and their cost doesn't justify them on larger scale production, even if they could get enough because the current screens on the models exhibit pretty much 90+% of the same viewing angles and color reproduction..... but cost a considerable amount less and there are no production issues.. The Lambo Vx1 would be $3k+ with an IPS screen.

I just ordered a Lenovo (IBM) T60p with a 15" SXGA IPS screen and a 256MB Fire GL video card. After some upgrades, shipping, and discounts it should come out to about $1730. If I could have gotten one of the old V6va models from Newegg for considerably cheaper than the V6j then I would have done that, but they're both priced too high.

T60 with SXGA+ 1400x1050 IPS was my only other candidate before I bought the V6Va this September.

Thanks, Justin, for convincing me about glossy over matte. You were correct in every respect. The screen is incredible!

Excuse me, but what is the different between glossy & matte?

I haven't read about this, but by what I've seen:

    - glossy has a reflective surface and has better brightness.
    - matte has a non-reflective surface. Supposedly, due to this you should be able to better read under natural light. I however don't think that the laptop screen exists yet that can be read in sunlight.

That would be a transreflective display which a few laptops have, and is usually an expensive option.
