Hi im really confused with these two Asuses
1- G50Vt-X1 Best buy
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9050279&type=product&id=1218012519873
2- G50VT-X2 Newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220403
Does the newegg one deserve the extra money??
And i think the BB one can be overclocked (the CPU) to ~2.50

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
In general, one should take the NewEgg over BestBuy versions if looking for the highest spec'd machine. If on a budget, there may be room for compromise.
At a glance, NEgg has a faster cpu and higher res screen than BB. There's new debate whether BB's models qualify for Asus' accident plan, which has not been the case previously. NE also equals no sales tax.
Both models should have overclock options, but whether the max overhead is different between the chips is unclear. -
Newegg had a short lasting deal where the X2 was selling for $1350.00. I bought it for this price.
At this price it's $100.00 more than the X1. I get better resolution, ASUS' 2 year warranty (BB only offers 1), and a 7200 RPM HD. Plus the ASUS warranty comes with a 1 year accidental policy. Well worth the extra $100. Note, there are a few more enhancements the X2 has over the X1, but I didn't list them here.
If purchasing at the retail price of $1500.00 you are spending an extra $250.00 over the X1 at BB. That's just about the right price increase over the X1 for the extra features you get in the X2. -
best buy u pay tax. new egg dont.

This week at BB (11/9-11/16) the X1 will be on sale for $1099, after CO tax that brings it to roughly $1182.
Is the X2 from Newegg worth the extra $280 it would cost (after shipping)?
I understand the spec differences and the warranty, and if the X1 wasn't on sale I would definately take up NE but, the X1 for less than $1200 sounds so appealing...
Thoughts?
Which one is better??
