was planning on going for the g51j and then i saw the Asus G72GX-TY031V...
im in india and they r both available at these url's

    g72gx- http://gadgets.ndtv.com/spec.aspx?prodid=8800
    g51j- http://gadgets.ndtv.com/spec.aspx?prodid=8802

the config's are slightly different from the conventional models....hence the change in the model number......

the g72gx looks better in every aspect other than the processor as it comes with the t8800 vs the i7 on the g51j.....will there be much of a difference as i wanted the larger screen.......anybody have a 3dmark score comparison on these models?........

    im a gamer btw.......

The T8800 should be plenty for gaming. If you want 17" I'd definitely go with the G72.

Q9000 is a quadcore, they are in different leagues and don't really compare. the Q9000 is better for CPU intensive tasks that allow multi-threading/use of multiple cores. The T8800 will be better in most current games because they are generally optimized to only use 1 or two cores.
