I've pretty much settled on an ASUS S96J for my mobile computing needs. I think it combines the right amount of power for any gaming I might do with the portability one would expect from a notebook for mobile word processing and instant messaging.

I'd like to purchase one from powernotebooks.com because I believe it has a nice combination of a low price plus a 3-year warranty, but I don't feel like waiting until June 19 to get one. Does anyone have a suggestion for a website that offers a similar price (or perhaps a method to get one sooner from powernotebooks)? Thank you.

I would just go with them. Paladin44 on the forums is Donald from powernotebooks and he is a great guy. He has helped everyone with their questions about the notebooks they are purchasing. I didn't buy a notebook from them personally because I was looking for the 7900GS, but I would not hesitate to recommend or buy from them in the future because of they A+ customer service. Check out www.resellerratings.com under powernotebooks.
Almost perfect 9.99/10 lifetime service. I think the standard 3 year warranty is worth it, they can also talk to you about ways to purchase accidental coverage. Just type "www.powernotebooks.com, powernotebooks and he will come =)

I'm not 100% sure where I am going to be buying my notebook yet, but I think if you want a 3 year warranty powernotebooks is the place to go. Gentechpc.com has similar pricing but not a 3 year warranty. If I were you, I would just wait. (I guess it's easy for me to say, since I am having to wait until July to get mine). I have heard good things about both places. Gentechpc.com offers a slightly lower price, but more requirements to buy, such as no refund or a 15% restocking fee. I personally just think you should wait until that June date to get it. Sorry to burst the bubble... you might want to do something else, but that is my two cents.

Heh...I almost assumed everyone would just reaffirm the inevitable.

    Thanks anyway. :)

i have no problem recomending you get it somewhere else.

Make sure these other places actually have it as well, they could be sold out and just not advertising it on their site.

If I had the cash right now I wouldnt want to wair till the 19th personally.

If youre asking which resellers have it in stock no I dont know. I think that sounds like a project for you. Go to um, who c9tech gentech geared2play etc etc and ask. mwave.com ibuypower.com

If you can wait wait til powernotebooks gets them in stock. If you are going to buy the 3 year warrantee somewhere else it seems like thats a better choice. If youre not though and you dont want to wait just start getting on the phone.

and dont take any bs, right now i have a feeling some of these resellers would sell you one coming on 6-19 and not tell you.
