Does anyone have the A8Js? If you do I wanted to know how you like it. I am a student and planning on lugging it around alot, is it portable enough and another very important question is how long is the battery life. I know the review for this rig is already on the site but i would like someone elses opinion. Thanks

I've got it, and my experience pretty much matches that of the review.

With heavy sustained browsing and some fiddling with system options I got a battery life of around 2hrs 40 mins.

As for weight, my wife (who is 5'3" and 95 lbs) thinks it's light and has no problem lugging it around.

I like mine, although i had it for only 2 days, and i havent really unplugged it to test the battery life. but everything seems good, i got 2672 on 3dmark06 also so it seems like mines a bit above average. :)

I got 2664 on 3dmark06 ... pretty close. I had firefox and my mail client running in the background too, along with random utilities I didn't bother to shut down.

I got 2665 in 3DMark06, which is about right since some people are getting a range from 2400-2600.

The batterylife is roughly 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on your settings and screen brightness.

This laptop is 14" widescreen, weighing roughly 5.2-5.4lbs and its a very portable performance machine.
