You're all making me jealous. I have to wait for Asus to send my my Win 7 upgrade discs, but I figure that could take a few months.

So what's so good about W7 anyways? I heard it's a bit faster (on paper) but I tried the RC but it seems like the same as Vista. I only bought it because it's cheap when I preordered it ($65). Still waiting for Best Buy to send it to me.

I have used Vista and W7. They are really similar. I really like both of them. I never had a problem with Vista, however in W7 I'm having driver problems for my ASUS notebook. So, I'm guessing those who say W7 is fantastic are those who have tried Vista before SP1.

Yes, I was having problems with drivers as well with my g50. You need to go to the Asus website and get the drivers from there, Don't get any drivers from windows update until after you install the drivers from the asus site.

    I think It's like this

Small number of people had a good experience with vista
Large number of people had a bad experience with vista

Large amount of people who had bad experience with vista are having a good experience with windows 7, so they say windows 7 is better

Small amount of people who had good experience with both say it's the same

Small amount of people are unlucky and have problems with windows 7, say it's the same if not worse than vista

I never had a big problem with vista, it was XP with a UI upgrade. Windows 7 is easy to use. It does a lot of the things OSX does with the task bar, and its stable.

the way it looks is a + but all the little things that make it easy to use is what I love. I have my Power4gear hybrid "pinned" along with my control dock. easy to reach when I need them.
