Just got one today and i have to say: Best laptop i ever owned, most features i ever had, fastest, and least expensive.
I cannot say enough good things about it, does anyone know why it never found a following?
Pros:
The lighted touchpad is so attractive & fun to use
1. Backlit keyboards is so top notch (not only rows light up but each letter as well)
2. The color black is super sharp, you cannot even see the very faint blue specs unless u REALLY look for them, and they look GOOD!
3. The display is so crisp and bright
4. Soooooo quiet- Haven't heard the fan come on or the HDD whirring even once!
5. Even tho its 4.8 lbs, feels lighter than the HP dm3, (probably because of the weight distribution, as that is a 13 inch and more dense with the aluminum finish)
6. Super fast, only WEI score over 4.0 i have seen (not counting a gaming laptop) that doesn't have a i3 or i5 in it
7. Comes with 4GB Ram
8. Loving some of the cool bloatware programs (not junk like HP gives you)
9. Feels verycool, been on my lap a couple of hours no warmth whatsoever
10. 5 hours or so battery life in Power4Gear Entertainment Mode (Not too shabby!)
11. Great placement of ports and vent
12. Love that it has a CD/DVD (they might be being phased out, but we're not quite there yet and i still use them)
13. Typing on chicklet keyboard (aside from the amazing lighted keys) is a breeze and i seem to type wayyyy faster with less typos!
14. Graphics are amazing. Soooo much detail, movie playback is flawless
15. Came with Windows 7 - 64 bit & 7200 HDD
Cons:
Not a one!
All this for $709.00 on Amazon.com (& NO TAX!)
I just love this little gem to pieces. Even when i compare it to the UL80VT i prefer the extra features this model has. I'm guessing the switchable graphics (which this model lacks, but i don't miss) was what made this notebook grow old before its time?

nice laptop indeed, there's a review by CNET Australia that praises it as being the best PC laptop.
although I'm content with my HP Elitebook, I was tempted to pick this up when I saw the price drop to $700 range. Unfortunately, price is back up to $1000, which is probably why it never sold well.
some things I wish this laptop offered: a different color, like silver, that isn't so prone to fingerprints and slightly higher resolution.
what's the battery life like with power saving features, dim screen, wifi turned on? -
