Why do i get so low 3D06 Mark for my G51vx?

I saw others are getting like 10000 whereas mine is not even getting the stock mark others are getting. I think there's fundermental problem bcuz my stock mark is around 8000. What would that be?

 

Do you have anything running in the background? Have you tried reinstalling the OS, possibly to XP for better scores, and it could be your cpu, try checking the temps, it might be a bit high.

 

Mine stock got 8817 on windows vista and around 8500 on windows 7. I also got around 9700 with the cpu overclocked to 2.25 ghz.

 

I think CPU is working well, i found some others are getting similar cpu score but my SM2.0 score and SM3.0 score is too low.

 

Some people who get 10k might have their resolution set to 1280x720. I just barely broke 10k on my 3dMark06 score with heavy OCing before I replaced my screen and now it's around 8k.

 

i wasnt running anything background except what you can see from the image. hummm and then i was also using resolution 1280x720 and when i use 1366x768, i get slightly higher (about 100~300) 3d06 mark.

if you see, i have overclocked my cpu to 2.3 ghz, and my gpu to 570/980/1450.

 

You should be getting around 9700 with your cpu overclocked to 2.3 ghz so something is not right. My T9800 stock gets a little over 11000 and close to 12000 highly overclocked. I wish I would have saved my scores with the P7350 and I could tell which one of your 3 scores were coming up short. Maybe someone else here will run the benchmark for you and let you know something.

 

I have a rather stupid question about this program that doesn't warrant a new thread, so I hope its okay to just ask here. I tried to download 3dmark06 to try on my U30Jc, and when I ended up starting it the program was called 3dmark03. What is the difference between the 06 and the 03?

 

06 = Obsolete

03 = SUPER Obsolete

 

Well, that's a good explanation, thanks! Now I just need to figure out how I managed to get 03 when I'm pretty sure I downloaded 06. What is the new non-obsolete version?

You must have not overclocked it right. I just reinstalled my p7350 and oc'd to 2.25 my score was 9500. The three scores from top to bottom were:

2.0=4500
3.0=4514
cpu=2011

Running 1280x720

Only thing I use to overclock was setfsb at 485/760 and 11/760. No different drivers, no undervolt or anything else.
