Its ok, ignore it for now, they will still need to update their website. Wait till you see the final product and then you'll be happy with it.

Can I state the obvious? .... It's won't even go into production until at least next week when Asus gets back from their new years break... The OS they list on their website is pointless....
-
maybe not the american spec but V2 is for sale and in stock already in Taiwan
I already saw pictures online but links was not link-able -
Their site was updated last week, and they listed "XP Professional, XP Home Premium" for the V2, as well as the A8JR. Not the best sales tactic. -

I don't know what the hell you're talking about.
1. Chinese New Year - Asus has been closed all week
2. Their site is never accurate - and the V2 was originally listed on the site before Vista was released.... so everything on the site was showing a version of XP as the OS. Since the V2 isn't currently physically out on sale yet, them missing a simple thing like that is not the end of the world... But the obvious point here is that the last produced model with XP that Asus put out was made in December..... all runs starting in mid January simply have some version of Vista on them..... The V2 will get Vista Business here in the US, there's no doubt to that.
3. Pointless, because it's not life or death and anyone looking at that and basing their decision on it really don't know what they're doing anyway. The only information that matters is that found from a dealer that is selling a model... because you're buying whatever they're selling. The people that update Asus' site are from Taiwan and from the main company.... It's so enormously huge, with so many differerent products... then translated into English... I haven't seen one 100% accurate page on their site in six years. -
Haha, don't trust the Asus website. It has slightly bad translation and sometimes does some things wrong. Asus itself is a great company, but their marketing strategy and their website isn't that great. I trust Justin (PROPortable) more
.
Like Asus 'recommended' Vista Business back in October 2006...and then switched back to recommending XP. Also, they post pictures of the VX1 and say its the VX2.

The V2 overview also has pictures of the V1. I hope to see the following things in the V2, or else I won't buy it:
1. Two models (with 3.5G, without 3.5G) for all of us that don't need it.
2. A higher celled battery (or at least, being able to upgrade to a higher-celled battery). -
A better video card will be more better
Not the X1450
And for the CNY, we all get one week break
Why does the unreleased V2Je (Asus V2) still say XP and not Vista?
