Okay I've been starting to have wierd problems with my W3J and I have no clue what's causing them!

    1) My caps lock RANDOMLY turns on sometimes (happened 4 or 5 times), even when I'm away from the computer, I come back and see it on.. what's causing this?

    2) Yesterday, for some strange reason, my backspace key stopped working for a good 5 minutes and now its fine again

    3) 2 or 3 times now, I've had my laptop go into that Fn+Ins mode where the keys become like the numpad.. and this again happens by itself..

what is going on!?!?!?! :(

Did you check your system for virus?

    It could be key jamming.

For example, when people game a lot on the laptop keybaords or use them a lot, or even external keyboards used for desktops or laptops, keys tend to get stuck/jam.

Personaly my "A" is soft, because i used it a lot, my alt and ctrl key get jammed a lot because i use them a lot for cut and paste and other windows related things.

So if something weird occurs, when i'm doing windows tasks, i know that either ctrl or alt is jammed and by pressing it a few times it will unjam.

I suggest try pressing any key that starts to go wrong, press it continuously 3 times and it MAY fix it.

However, key jamming is not common on NEW laptops.

Other than that, you've mentioned your laptop is clean from Virus, how about spyware?

Seen similar problems happen when liquid is spilled on a kb. Seen similar happen when people removed the kb and did not attach the cable correctly. Also see it with some weird "virus" for lack of a better word. It may be wise for you to format and reinstall to a new SINGLE partition. Alot easier then pulling your hair trying to figure out whats going on. if on a fresh formatted install the problem does not return befor you load your soft then it was surely "user soft error"

    sticky keys are not on..

    i have no spyware

i havent really used the keyboard much as I use an external keyboard most of the time so i doubt jamming would be the problem

the only thing I can think of is that I upgraded my RAM myself.. but I didnt go anywhere near the keyboard cables.. I just stuck another stick in the empty slot
