So, I received my G73-A2 last evening. After removing some of the bloatware I burned the recovery DVD's (6 total) I removed the 1st 500GB drive (one closer to the side) and installed the my 80GB Intel SSD. Booted windows and formatted the drive as single partition. Once that was done I turned off the PC, pulled out the last 500GB drive and moved the SSD to the center. I popped in the recovery DVD and rebooted. After 56min of installing 6 disks it said it completed install. AI Recovery - Successfully restored the disk from the ASUS Recovery DVD Elapsed Time 00:56:50. It rebooted and then got the error - Reboot and select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key. In the BIOS i reset to boot to the SSD 1st and still no luck. I am currently trying to reinstall from the restore DVD's again.

Tried twice now with the same result-

Next I hit F9 while booting then hit F8 for advanced options and chose Safe Mode....and got the message ERROR can not open C:\RECOVERY.DAT.

After reading a bit more seems I need to remove the recovery partition. Googling and still don't seem to find how to do this before windows attempts to load.
