This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    WinXP 64-bit Trial on my A6u

    An interesting note.

    I downloaded and installed the Windows XP Professional 64-bit Trial from Microsoft and installed it on my Asus A6U. Well, it went okay, however, the ASUS drives were not designed for 64-Bit versions of Windows. Interseting.

    Just thought I'd share.

    There aren't many 64 bit drivers.

    One of the reasons why I think that purchasing a 64 bit processor at the moment is a bit of a waste - unless a sudden 64 bit software revolution happens when Vista gets released.
