Hey guys,
i just upgraded from vista to windows 7, and no its not rc its the final legal copy. I was wondering if anyone with the g50 laptop ran into the same problem i did and maybe have a solution to it. well the blue touch buttons above the keyboard dont work anymore, i can still touch them and they respond with a series of blinks as they normally would, but nothing pops up. the only one that does work is to change the performance level from high performance to battery mode, game and so on. but the other 3 such as the direct console, windows media center, and enable/disable touch pad will not work. can anyone give me some help??
any advice would be much appreciated.

you need to install the drivers/software from the asus website. Its the same deal with the G71 when i upgraded.

Oh you can also use the driver cd that came with it, run it in xp mode, should let you install all the hotkey software etc that you need.

That's funny, because my media buttons on my Toshiba still work. Well, the pause, stop, and play button do anyway. I only just installed it, so I haven't had any time to test it yet.

this problem again please follow this guide

And lastly, after Installing all this stuff, you find out that the hotkey don't work, the Fn+F11 or Fn+F12 do not work to change the volume, etc.
Don't panice! Very simple way out --> go to \Program Files(x86)\Asus\ATK Hotkey\ and find Hcontrol.exe. Run it and voila! Btw, I created a shortcut to it and placed it in Start->All programs -> Startup, so it starts every time I start the computer, otherwise you will have to start it manually.
This is what you need -
Hey guys, i tried reinstalling all of the drivers and yet there not working. The only one that works is to change the performance level. And i just noticed that my fn+f9 key doesnt work either, which is to enable/disable the touchpad.
any idea what it might be?? -
