I just made a post about my experience setting up Windows 7 on my G50V.
If anyone's thinking about installing it, here's what you can expect:

EDIT: Just figured out you can enable OSD and the touch keys by running HControl.exe in C:\Program Files(x86)\Asus. Just add that to your autostart and everything works fine.

Seems decent, gonna do a clean install of 7 on my 50vt soon xD

I did an install on my computer and I am havingt the same issues as EneerGe... My blue touch buttons at the top do not work and my turbo extreme does not launch and my direct console does not work... Someone here mentioned to user GV71 drivers and they will work.. I have yet to test that out... Can anyone confirm that they do work?
-
Yes they work. I have g71 but I used the G51 ATK files and they work perfectly. Just make sure you install atkdrv file first. Then install the others.

i didnt have any problems with my drivers on my G50VT-X5, only the direct console touch button doesnt work...all the rest of the drivers work fine for me...installed from the disk included with the laptop...maybe u r doing something wrong...
cheers -
As i explained in another post the ATKdrv enables the touch buttons. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=5444673#post5444673
