Has anyone tried installing Server 2003 on a G1S? It runs faster than XP/Vista(I had it on my desktop back home) and I've been itching to try it again but I don't think anyone has done this?

Server 2003 has significant performance increases in my experience i.e after you've modded it a bit to run msi installers and all that jazz.

Your experience with it should be very similar to XP. I have Server 2003 on my A8JP, and used XP drivers. Everything worked perfectly.

Well I installed it today. Went smoothly till I tried browsing the net. SLOW as hell. Tried everything to speed it up but nothing worked. Not to mention the card reader and webcam didn't work as well. But it was lightning fast :D
Had to go back to XP though, can't live without fast internet :p

240 days free trial for 2008

Did you install 2008 or 2003? I got no problems with 2008 and I use Vista's drivers (manual install through device manager) so 2003 *should* work with XP's

I installed 2003. I'll download the 2008 trial soon and see how it goes.
