My laptop is an Asus G1. When I connect my laptop to AC Power, the computer boots Windows XP wonderfully but the problem is that when I don't have it connected to an AC power and use the battery to boot up my computer, the windows xp loading thingy doesn't appear and the screen stays black with no response. I mean, I can load up the BIOS and everything when on battery but I can't get Windows XP to load.

    Can anyone help me?

The computer came with Vista preinstalled and I installed Windows XP Pro and now I currently have Service Pack 1 since installing service pack 2 has given me some problems.

I can't suggest anything else than updating the drivers, especially ACPI/ATK, Video. Also update/rewrite the BIOS. See if that fixes the issue.
