Ok well I managed to get a virus yesterday.. I've had it once before but realised it as soon as i got it this time around.

well I hoped online and saw what files needed to be deleted and what reg keys which needed to be deleted too and delt with that. I'm followed a guide on symantec's webpage and well I've obviously deleted some things that didnt need deleting.

Now NHC wont throttle my Turion x2 (yet RMclock can). Some programs keen freezing, and well its either time for another recovery (dont want to as I've deleted the recovery partition and will have to use the CD's which takes ages)

so was wondering if i can somehow enter the windows repair option and not have to recover the hdd. I have a XP CD but its an old one and only has SP1 on it. And for some reason my slipstreamed SP2 version i made doesnt play nicely with my current asus install.

    any ideas?

    cheers
