    Hey guys

On my new Asus F8SN laptop, I have these two programs running at startup. They are also in my icon traybar. Do I need these two programs running? I believe the Wireless Console 2 just shows if my bluetooth/wireless is running. Do I need this notification? If not, how do I get rid of it? I have both icons in hiding but rather not have them running if not needed.

    Thanks

msconfig is your friend. if you want them to hide, right click, properties, customize, and choose always hide.

I have them hiden now, I just want to know if I need them running at all. If I turn them off, will it ruin my performance or hinder my laptop.

click on the services tab. see if it's running or stopped. if you find them. uncheck them and click apply. reboot. if things go smooth you should be okay. if not, then go back and check them. if things go real bad, which i doubt for these, you can always boot into safe mode to recheck them so they're enabled again.

is better to keep wireless console 2, because u can disable the bluetooth or wireless by using Fn + f2. u do not need to turn off the switch. Also, the wireless console 2 help to manage the wireless and bluetooth LED light.

I did a clean install and never installed either. I usually have wifi on and disable it from network connections when i need to. don't really care about BT since i hardly use it. Also, I found the audio manager distorted my audio so didn't bother it. My audio works fine without it.

To test, I would create a restore point, disable them, restart and see what happens. If all goes wrong just restore and you will be fine.
