    Hello,

I have a problem with my wireless connection on my Asus A6K notebook.
Whenever I disable the wireless function with the "FN" (function) plus the symbol for wireless (F2 on my notebook), after a restart wireless is automatically disabled. When I restart the computer with wireless enabled, it's disabled again after the restart. So I have to press FN plus enable wireless every time I restart.

How can I fix this? In the wireless zero configuration it says, startup type: automatic.

Did you try reinstall the drivers for it? When you press the function key it does turn on the wireless LED ?

    I think it does.

It also does this thing (WLAN not on after restart) on my V6J. It's just bad coding by ASUS programmers, nothing to do about it but try to update the wireless drivers. Usually an update doesn't fix the issue.

I think it is default setting...or you can change drivers

No, I think the correct thing would be for it to keep settings between reboots. It does on my M6. It doesn't on my V6, 'cause it's buggy.

The problem is fixed when I format the harddisk and install windows again. Then wireless lan is enabled by default. As soon as I press the Function key (FN) plus the wireless disable/enable button, wireless is disabled by default, also when I logoff when I have wireless enabled...

So I guess it's bad programming indeed...
