After returning from hibernation my wireless connection was gone. I did a reboot and thought that should fix it, but no such luck. It wasn't just a lost connection, the adapter itself was missing from the device manager. Both in safe mode and normally I've tried to get XP to detect my hardware again. But nothing so far.

I thought I'd ask here before I do a reinstall of Windows. Have anyone had this happend to them? And what did you do to fix it?

I'm not sure at all, but maybe you can install the drivers from the drivers-cd? I don't know if Intel PROSet utility was on it, but you're not sure until you've checked it!

I have reinstalled the drivers. Tried different versions. I've reinstalled the Intel PROSet utility, both old and new versions. Did nothing. My problem is that there is no hardware to support the drivers and utility. Atleast that's what Win XP thinks. Since my adapter isn't showing up in the device manager, and win xp doesn't discover it, I really don't know what to do besides a full reinstall of win xp.
