Is there a way to disable the touchpad without the synaptic driver? I use my asus to game..so its rather annoying when I accidently touch the touchpad ingame while i'm using an external mouse. I can disable it with the synaptic driver, but I get keyboard lag with it. So as it stands now, I can either miss every other letter..or I can try to avoid the touchpad ingame. Any ideas?

You can disable it from the BIOS, or (less cumbersome if you wish to re-enable) from the Device Manager.

if you have atk hotkeys installed, isnt there a hotkey (fn + f something) for it? or maybe its possible to make a .bat script that does that and bind it to a key combination.

The best solution then is disabling via device manager.
