I know someone just posted a similar thread, but...

I just ordered a new z70va from agearnotebooks!

It's such a relief making a decision after so much research and waiting! Now just a little more waiting

I wish we had that barebone kit as an option here in Denmark but no one seems interested in bringing it to market here. A real shame but with time, we probably will have it.

Just annoying when I am looking for a new laptop as we speak!

I'm impressed w/agearnotebook's competitive prices, but I havent really heard any feedback about them in this forum. I guess theyve been a little overshadowed by proportable,g2p & istnc. Do they sell only complete systems or can I customize a barebone z70va with no memory/hd ? I emailed them last week about this but no reply. Let me know how your experience was. thanks.

On the site you can't order it barebone without memory or a HD, but if you called them they could maybe arrange something. If you need to contact them I think that is the best way - whenever I called I got to talk to someone right away.

I went with them cuz I got the best vibe out of all the resellers I called. The prices were relatively low too. g2p had probably the lowest prices, but their website lags my computer with all the weird graphics, and they said to allow them 5 days to process the order compared to agear's 2 days. istnc and proportable are good but their prices are high.

    Ooooooo' Congrats~!
I also JUST purchased the Z70Va last week~! and had it in my hands the next day~!
    thanks to PacificNotebooks~!
Only thing is I thought I was getting the 8mb cache western digital HD, but it's the 2mb grrrrr, oh well not a big deal~!

Just you wait until you get your unit...it's true how much better it looks in person than in pictures...

Is this unit the exact same chassis as the M6ne and M6bne? My friend has one and I haven't compared the two yet, but this Z70Va just seems so much newer looking? Maybe it's the new touchpad that's throwing me off? hrmm =/

    The touchpad is different.

But besides that, z70v/a = M6Bne. The m6ne is the non-widescreen 4:3 version. No 'hump' on the back.

The touchpad is different, and so is the power button.
In addition to that, the port placement is also slightly changed... but nothing dramatic.
