Apart from rumors about it being equipped with a Radeon X1700, no news so far. Does anyone know of a possible release date? Or would ever come out? I was contemplating getting a desktop but if there's an announcement or something before Oct 30 I might consider waiting. Thanks. :)

Not sure about that, if anything, it would be for the next platform processor...

The W3jp as it's supposed to be called, should be hitting port in a weeks time and ready for shipping around the third week of the month. Whether it's getting an x1700 or not isn't confirmed, but rather the currrent projected specs only show it getting the cpu upgrade - where as the W2 is getting the cpu, hard drive, graphics card, and screen upgrade.

Hey thanks Justin for letting me know. Pity I can't buy from you being in Canada and all. :)

No problem... well, if you wanted to buy from us, you certainly could... so that's not an excuse :)... You're just going to pay the same taxes you would there, shipping may just be a bit more if you're further away.... but that's ok, you can be an honorary customer.
