I'm wanting to get one of these laptops, but I read about the different screens with the best buy versions (RBBX05) and I dont want to deal with that, so I was wondering how good is the screen quality of the G73JH-X3 or even the G73Jh-X5? Are they better than possibly getting one of the AUO screens of the best buy version?

The BB screens aren't that bad. Take a look at them yourself, and you'll see that for the $300 difference between the X05 and the a2, it's a decent compromise.

Well I think its that bad (the auo screen). The colors are washed out and its not very sharp. The X's and A's uses the hannstar monitor. The color depth is outstanding, black are black (not dark gray). It lost to RGB LED; professional-grade workstation laptop have. Other than that its the best screen I ever had.

Ok well, I'm convinced. So does anyone have a preference between Newegg and Tigerdirect? I've read some negative reviews of Tigerdirect.

If you live in California, Tigerdirect is better because no tax or shipping!

got my x-3 from TD 2 months back with a 13.2% cash back from Bing. No shipping or Tax, standard UPS Ground. Service was top notch. Shipped on day 2, and arrived exactly on the 5th day, in the evening. Double Boxed, and with everything intact. So far, everything is running smoothly (all drivers at stock).

Did have a hiccup with the 10.1 cats, but apart from that, no issues after removing the creative bloats.

Well I feel better about Tigerdirect now... and I always forget about the bing cashback. Thanks all.
