    Hello,
I have a problem with the bluetooth device on this model.
Whatever i do i am unable to install drivers, and wireless switch console never shows BT options.
Does this model have built-in bluetooth or its optional and u have to purchase it separately?

I have the same problem with another model notebok - Compal FL90 - exactly the same type of issues, but for FL90 i'm pretty sure it's missing inside (it's not built-in).

Does anyone have an idea WTF is wrong on Asus X51R Bluetooth ?

Well, yes, first you should make sure that you have the actual hardware. Do you have a listing with the config from when you bought it? It should say it there, if you do have it.

Here is the official answer from ASUS support:

    "Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.

My name is Summer and it's my pleasure to help you with your problem.

Dear friend, in order to let our customers to have more choices, we have different built-in devices even in the same series of our notebook,of course, they are also different in the price. As we can not obtain your S/N number,we can not see whether there is a built-in bluetooth in your notebook. Ifit hasn't the device, you can purchase an external bluetooth device using the USB port.

    Have a nice day.

    Sorry for the inconvenience!
May you good luck and have a good day.

If having any problems, please don't hesitate to let me know. Let's discuss this issue together.
