    Hi,

I have now been messing around with my new Asus X52JC for a few hours, but i cant seem to get the computer to switch to the Nvidia 310M graphics card. It insists on using the internal Intel GPU, which i fear is not as powerfull as the Nvidia one (i might be totaly wrong though.)

When i go and check for installed hardware, the Nvidia card shows up as normal, but i cant select in any setting.
Can anybody help me out? Is it even possible to activate it? If not, why is it there?!
    Thanks.

Here is a link, showing both cards is active

(I tried deactivating the Intel GPU, but then i got no picture at all.)

Is there Asus software that lets you switch? With my G51vx its called direct console. I sure if you called Asus they could tell you how. Also check the manual .

I checked the manual that came on the computer (the paper manual that came with it was very thin and had just basic info), but i could not find any info in the PDF manual about this.
Also i cannot find anything called Direct Console. I had something called Control Deck, but i could not configure it from there.

Thanks alot for your reply though!

Is there an F-key that has that function? Like you press FN + one of the F keys? Thats how you switch video cards on the Alienware m15x. There might be a dedicated key above the keyboard that activates it.
