    X53E or K53E Max Memory?

    Just wondering if anyone might know the answer on the max ram I can put into my X53E Asus notebook?
    The Asus website says 8gb even though I have the intel i7-2670qm hm65 chipset which intel says it's max ram is 16gb.

    I read a few people on this forum have put more ram into their Asus notebooks than the site specified.
    I also heard that the 8gb Max is per slot so in that case it should take up to 16gb. Wondering if anyone can confirm.

    Any info would be appreciated.
