What is a X53E-XR1? I don't see it on the ASUS site. It's on Fry's website:
    FRYS.com|ASUS

    Seems very similar to K53E-A1.

Yes the X and K are very similar and tend to use the same exact chassis, and sometimes are exactly the same model with a different name.

Thanks. I just don't understand why I can't find it on the ASUS site.

    Thanks again!

I also just found the X53U on the MicroCenter site.
Micro Center - ASUS X53U-XR2 Laptop Computer - Mocha X53U-XR2

Again, it looks like the same exact chassis, but with the (slower) AMD E-350. Interesting.

I'm considering a K53E, but cannot find one in a store near me. I might try to find one of either X53E or X53U on display somewhere to try it out just get a feel for the keyboard, trackpad, and chassis.

    Just found this: ASUS

Not much of a product page, but it's something.
