    I don't understand Asus.

Why put X700 in A6Va series and not in V6V or M6V.

Supossedly A6V series is inferior in design and quality than V6V and M6V

    Anyone knows why?

Does it have to do with the cooling design of A6V?

A very fast GPU is not suitable for a very slim and thin laptops ,otherwise you might be able to make pancakes on it or
your nutz will get BBQed. [ :D]

The A6 is an old design and it's a quite large system..... We're going to see an x700 in the W1 and W2, but the A6 is even a level above say a Z71v.... that is a cheap build (plastic, heavy, thick) .. but as good video card...... I'd go as far to say the A6va is cheaper than the Z71v, and has an even better video card.

I don't think we're going to see it here, rather a variant of it in a W1 barebone sometime before the end of the summer.

    Thanks,

Got to benchmark the x700 in a clevo. It is a far cry from the 2000 plus points the 6600 was able to achieve in 3dmark05. Maybee its just clevo. Until asus comes out with their own...

It needs more room! That's the reason why... It needs more room to fit the card and the cooler.... not hard to understand.

What's hard to understand is why Asus Europe will bring in anything and sell it........ it doesn't really help elevate the brand.... In the US they like to be more picky, but who knows... They just said there's going to be something similiar to that in a barebone before the end of the summer.
