I just installed windows xp on my g1s, and installing the ethernet drivers didn't do anything. No connections show up or anything, although the wireless is working fine. How can I fix this? BTW, the ethernet controller under device manager has an exclamation point.

You need to go with the "Have disk" option in order to install the ethernet drivers.
In the Hardware Update Wizard, choose the option to "Install from a specific location (Advanced)". Then choose "Dont search. I will choose the driver to install" option. Click on "Have Disk" option and browse to the directory where you drivers are saved. -
^^^ as he said
