Has anyone successfully installed Windows XP with all of the drivers on an ASUS G2Sg-A1? If so, 32-bit or 64-bit?

I called ASUS and they said they don't have a downgrade or supported way of doing it, but they suggested using the 32-bit drivers from a G1 system.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions for doing the install?

On paper the G2Sg is smoking fast, but Vista has butchered the system performance and I just can't take it.

    Thanks,

    Carsen

Ken has set up this kind of tutorial before - if he says it works then it is quite likely to.

The G2 is an uncommon model around here... not many members with it.

I believe that you first need to go into BIOS and set the HDD to Compatible mode, not SATA. No slipstream required.

    Hi NNO1OZY,

May i know in detail on how to slipstream a sata driver in order to install XP?
BTW are you having the same SATA HDD on this G2SG -> JMicron JMB360 360GB SATA 5400rpm ? May i know where the link to download the driver?
    Thanks for your help.
