in short, 4 those people who got ASUS G50V.... does anyone notes that the RAM size in XP is 3GB.
in fact when I used Vista the RAM size was 4GB ... but there is only 3GB of RAM appears in XP ... does anyone has the same problem? and Why 4GB RAM only appears as 3GB in XP?

If you're using 32-bit windows XP it's a limitation of the OS. The addressable memory is only ~3.5GB but it can be further limited by the chipset. I see only around 3GB on XP 32-bit on my G50V. The short answer is you need a 64-bit OS to use all 4GB.

Both 32-bit XP and Vista can really only use ~3.2-3.5GB

Vista SP1 patched it so that it would detect all your RAM, but it can still only use ~3.2-3.5

So yea, use a 64-bit OS if you want to use all 4GB
