Ok for ****s and giggles i wanted to look at the inside of my latop. Did the basic thing and opened the cpu compartment. Thing weird i noticed was attached to the side of the fan (side closets to cpu) is a yellow peice of tape and its also covering two silver metal box things beside it. Is this supposed to be there? What is it??

No, it won't add to it. If you're computer was doing fine, you shouldn't have the need to open it up to play around with it. It's just asking for trouble if you're not familiar with it all.

well it looked like the tape might restrict airflow from the fan, therefore thats the reason i asked about increased heat.

Assuming that you got it as a complete system from a reseller, the yellow tape is there so they can tell if you have tampered with the CPU (and thus voided your warrantee :))
