with linux and a 4 ssd. Extraordinatily inexpensive but is it too slow and buggy for even light useage at Starbucks.? Questions about Wifi connectivity and drive capacity are brought up on reviews.

4GB of storage is really not enough (at least for me) unless you are strictly going to use it to surf the internet/IM. You could invest in an SD card if you require additional space. I had the first EeePC 704 which is basically the same netbook you listed, but with a smaller screen. Surfing the net with linux is acceptable and should work fine at any local coffee shop that offers free wifi. I never ran into any "buggy" issues.
Also keep in mind that even though the hard drive is SSD, the SSD in netbooks tend to be cheap soldered chips and don't perform on par with the standard 2.5" SATA SSD drives. -
Is linux compatible with most videos sites, would a USB flash drive help? 180.00 plus rebate hard to turn down. Thanx.

Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
Buy it and upgrade the ssd. There are plenty of mini pcie ssd's for EEE's that are much faster than the default one.
