i think this is problem number 967 (ballpark estimate)

Whenever i wake up the computer from hibernate the sound dissappears completely. i reinstalled the realtek HD audio drivers and it didnt do anything...in fact i completely reformatted my computer and reinstalled the driver and it still has this issue =)

ALSO, (problem 968) half of the time when i wake up the computer from hibernate, the scrolling on my touchpad magically dissappears....hmmm i should make a quote listing problems of my laptop.

anyone got any solutions? i have an rma for a new laptop but i wanna make sure they have some in stock before i return this piece of f***ing S***

The audio problem is troubling. I would suggest downloading the realtek drivers from the realtek website. Asus sometimes puts the wrong drivers in the CD. Try installing the synaptic drivers from the synaptic website too.

let me guess you have windows xp installed? What version? your issues are not inherent to the v1s.
