I'm still withholding the drool from that very thought, myself... :D

I thought about moving on up to the P9500, but then I read Intel was planning a quad core for notebooks ...

Planning a qwuad core, they sell notebooks with quad cores. Come on dont be stupid lol. W90 comes with a quad stock a bunch of HP's just got avaliable with quad.

Was talking to GenTech about the Q9000 he actually brought it up about trying one in a G50 Mobo.

Come on guys, not everyone is as tech savvy and as up to date with the current technologies as you guys. Let's not forget what it was like on your first day as a high school freshman.

    Sorry!
    I couldn't help myself.
Yes, you can get Quad Cpu's in notebooks now(see my sig)
No, the G50vt-X1 could not support a Quad cpu because of the MOBO not being compatible but if want to upgrade with a P9500 go right ahead, should work fine.

    Yeah, that's what I mean.
The P9500 should work fine giving it a nice performance boost!
The Quad might work ( I personally I don't think it will because of the MOBO) but it would be a very expensive problem to have if it doesn't.
Go for the sure thing if your upgrading.
