How much does a z33a with a 6 cell battery weigh? I've heard that the 9 cell brings up the weight to 4.5lb. Also, how much battery life could I realistically get with a 6cell w/wifi on and assuming standard 5400rpm drive? Where would I source one of these batteries?

    Thanks.

Jon, well in the US you can't buy a M5/S5/Z33 6 cell battery........... you could get the W5's 6 cell and it will work just fine, but keep that in mind.

The weight of a 9 cell is about 1.5 pounds........ the 3 cell is about .5 pounds.... the 6 cell is about 1 pound. So it will add about 1/2 pound to the weight of the notebook.

You're missing the most important thing which is the CPU..... you need to know what you're getting before we can tell you what life you'll get.

Oh yeah, I forgot the CPU. Sorry about that. Either a 1.6Ghz or 1.73Ghz Pentium M processor.

    with that configuration:

    3 cell - about 2.25 hours

    6 cell - 4.5 hours

    9 cell - 6.75 hours

Depending on use of the power gear setting you can get up to another 20% out of those numbers.
