Z35* 13inch wide? any sightings?

OK this is like the 3rd time ive started a thread like this. any updates guys Z35f?

mid july was a unconfirmed eta.

 

Geared2Play provoked this post: I'm the NBR who asked the original question (originator of the thread) and have been, since, checking the Taiwan/ASUS threads/posts and the model (Z35*) has just disappeared.

OK...Geared2Play knows as much as anyone...but it's now July 20 and the news-maker-newsletters are saying that Merom will be intro'd with the 7-23 intro of Conroe...

(Look at the Nasdaq: INTC and you'll understand why Intel wants to blow up this log jam of buying demand, especially since they have the 65 nm wafer production down).

So, is that what the "F" means when they first talked about the Z35F?

Since then (February '06) I've been probing Dell's 620 (no no) and then have familiarized myself with the elegance of the Thinkpad T60...and the T61 can't be more than a month away...(IBM/Lenovo refreshed over the past 5 years on-schedule every February/August like clock-work.)

The roadmap has been published that INTC is stepping up their introductions of Core 2 Duo/mobile aka Merom to August 2006...(PM if you need the cites).

So, is that the reason? Or is it just some crap from ASUS-basement?

So, where the...is the Z35F&J....like P&J on toast, only a thousand.3+ dollars more, I'd presume.

 

The "F" designates the integrated graphics on the 945 chipset, same as W5F and Z62F, etc. It's basically like a stripped down, whitebook W7J in a plain-jane chassis. No dedicated GPU, no webcam. And no Merom, Whitney.

HOPEfully, we'll see it before August.

What was the original ETA, mid-March?

 

We actually have aq few of the z35f's now. Still waiting on pics for the black version and writing a review. They were in fremont last week on monday
