Any chance that an LV CPU will be used rather than a regular power hungry one? Or at least offered as an option.

Any estimates on battery life, and battery sizes that will be offered? With the increase in power consumption of the new intels, these lighter notebooks are gonna have a hard time getting a decent battery life!

Any other info on this new comer to the US market?

its not getting LV. but the new sony 13.3 in with core duo is getting over 5 hours average battery life. so i think these new notebooks are going to surprise us on battery life.

Ditto --- it would fit and we could probably offer them that way......... but I really don't think it's needed because you're going to lose more performance than you'll gain battery life. The info in the news section is the most up to date information you're going to find.

I just see a 13.3in to big to need a LV CPU. maybe like 8 -10 in screen size but 13.3in can still fit a large battery. and extended if needed.

It looks like the replacment to the z63a so plasticky and boring. its not horrible but it doesnt look any wear near as good as a z63a. kinda like z71 boring

no more aluminum touch pad or anything.

well thats a bummer. I saw those pics and was not impressed at all. Why are they downplaying the new models, If that 13.3" looked as good as the z63a I'd be preordering one..haha

The dont dont want their whitebooks to compete at all with their ensemble series. personaly i think its a mistake. they are going to lose customers, you can make it out of plastic just make it look nice i dont see why its thats hard.

well it looks a bit like the M5 series (Z33)... but larger... so it's really not that bad...... but the Z63 was anything but "boring", so anything other than it may certainly seem that way.

The only carry over from the Z63a is the screen... it's the same colorshine screen.

    z35f has the z63a's 14" screen? I though it was a new smaller 13.3

the Z35f may actually look like the other laptop that looks like the z62f, the one without the camera. Because we have a Z35A that looks like that...it may just be that in core duo form. It has a color shine screen, bluetooth standard.

Thats a Z35A, although a lot of ppls think its going to be the Z62J, i haven't seen the Z35F but i assume it may be the same.

    No, the Z63f............

The Z35f has a 13.3"......... The Z35 looks a lot more like the Z33 than anything else..... just a wider version of it...

howdy! i'm new here. but i'm a fan of asus mobos, and since i'm in the market for a laptop (finally), i decided to go with asus of course. i was planning on getting a z33ae, but now that i found out about this z35f, i'll just have to wait longer on purchasing. the only things that bugged me about z33ae was the limited ram, lack of widescreen, and lack of bluetooth. and now its all going to be addressed?!!? yay! so for now i'm going to spend some of my laptop money on a lil crack. :D here's to waiting....and in hopes for some official pics/specs soon...... cheers!
