    hi,

Z61A i have recently seen this model Z61A and it actually says it is built on asus. Does anyone is familier with this model? What does built on asus mean, is it not asus?

I will be using my laptop for complete web design work including flash Mx and other photo editing applications.
I will play a lot of music and DvDs on it and sometimes very light gaming.

    I this model worth buying.

You can do your research on the M3 line....... The M3n was THE prototype centrino system that Intel developed with Asus..... and it's one virtue is that it's as close to a concept model that you're going to find in any sort of thing you buy (from computers to cars).....

The newest model basically just refreshes the system to the newest chipset and adds a memory card reader (which people requested) and removed the rear port door (which some customers used to break off).... so it's a nice machine, which a nice weight.... no dedicated graphics (which for what you're doing is not going to be a big deal at all)..

.... it's a nice professional system.. which is what it's supposed to be.
