Three days ago I flashed the bios on a brand new z62f. I got the 210 bios and aflash2 right off of the ASUS website, booted to a freedos prompt using UBCD and flashed it.

It went as expected, model matching up and checksum being correct, it went ahead and started flashing. It got all the way through verifying and said it was successful and to press any key to restart. I pressed keys for about 5 mins before going to turn the power off. The power button didn't work at all, I held it, tapped it, and it would not power off.

I finally resorted to pulling the battery out after unplugging the AC adapter. I put the battery in and reconnected the AC adapter. I get no lights saying the battery is charging and it won't turn on at all. Seems to be completely dead.

I figured it was a fluke so I tried it on another brand new Z62F today and it did the exact same thing.

What in the world is going on?
