    Hello Everyone.

I need some help. I am looking to buy a tablet or a convertible notebook with the following must have specs:

    -64-bit dual-core processor
-14 inch or above wxga screen
-detachable or folding swivel screen (has to be a tablet or convertible)
    -preferably around 5/6 lbs

From what I have read so far the Asus Z62F seems to meet the criteria. If so, does anybody know when it will be available or at what price. Are there any other viable alternatives?

I would really appreciate some comments from you guys.

Well..... it's not 64bit and it not even remotely a tablet.... so either you're completely off base..... or you know what you want, just don't know how to put it into words.

... Asus doesn't have a tablet, and won't till sometime in Q2 (probably June)..... and it will be a convertable - they're not comfortable yet with a slate for some reason.

no it doesn't. the Z62F has your standard hinges, it is not a tablet nor convertible. There are 64-bit dual-cores out yet on both Intel and AMD's side.

Thanks for all the prompt input guys. This is where I got my info from.

"Asus to Make Dual Core Tablet PC Convertible and Slate Version for 2006"

I guess I had some wrong info about it. I don't know why I assumed it was the Z64F and was 64-bit.

Is there anything out there currently that even remotely resemble my requirements including AMD options?
