Z70VA arrives tomorrow 3pm

sadly, i will not be home until 9:30pm

i ordered it from ProPortable and I am very glad i did. there service is amazing. I sent emails after they closed (5PM), and they responded to every one of them..even at 11:38pm at night, i got an email from them (and NOT a computer generated response ).

AWESOME, you're going to love her like nothing else you have.

I just hope you don't turn out to be a freak like me and polish her every chance I get. I also clean the palmrest area quite often because of grit off the palms of your hands and sweat.

Cheers and I wanna see some awesome screen shots. Try to show us how bright your screen is. Do some shots in normal room lighting from a good distance, but not too far so we can't see what's onthe screen.

lol i ditched class when my asus was coming haha im horrible. yay more reviews im going to get one but i want to wait for my bag to arrive, do a bunch of reviews at once, i ordered a jansport laptop bag for mine, ive been using the supplyed asus one for last week or so

class really was cancelled, and i have his website to prove it

ill try my best on the screenshots, and im going to show the difference of brightness on 3 different screens..my dell 20 inch widescreen, the z70va, and the 17 inch powerbook i have. will be a very cool shot if i can pull it off correctly.

as for the supplied bag, it is awesome...but VERY small. today i had the laptop, power adapter, usb cord mouse, a small notebook and a small textbook, and it was a bit difficult to close. everything was very light though! so far i am VERY impressed with the screen, weight, im testing games out soon. i played cs 1.6 last night, played very well, except for the wireless lag..grrr.

i will try my best to provide a review over the weekend with plenty of screenshots.

games will blow u away, i play souce in naitive res and everything on high, yes the bad is nice but small thats why i ordered a new one, my back normal has laptop, power bricand a few magizines k, mouse, 1 notebook, 1 textbook, and maybe some magizines

 

so far the only problem (aside from not installing all the drivers yet..since the top row of buttons do not work.. the quick launch for mozilla works and so does the bluetooth/wireless, but not the trackpad or the power settings) i have, is with ffxi..no matter what settings i use in the latest omega drivers...it still does not apply AA/AF to it. i see hundreds of screenshots looking all smooth, etc... but mine its blocky...same way on my desktop too...wierd. (ffxi hates me!)

... yeah, installing the drivers should take care of that.... becasue they won't work without them.

 

Oh for the laggy wireless, do yourself a favour and invest 50-60 bucks and get one of those Atheros wireless cards in the BUy/Sell section of these forums in the Firebretha group buy.

I can't stress this enough to people. It is such an inexpensive upgrade that just does wonders. You will NOT regret getting it. It NEVER drops a signal, well so far for me anyways, signal strength is always great, it's like a wired connection.
