I just got a new Z70Va a few days ago. However, when I change to any video mode other than 1400 or 1680x1050, a bright line of pixels appears at the very bottom of the screen after a second or so. Is there some way to fix this, or does it sound like a problem with the LCD panel?

    Can you post some pictures?
It could be a driver issue...although, it's likely a hardware problem too.

mviewkaa...I've seen it as well, but it only occurs during certain movie playback right? Some games show this as well, but it's all remedied after software updates, driver patches, game patches, codec updates. Go to www.free-codecs.com and download some new codecs there and try out the CoreMediaPlayer.

In some cases you just can't get past it as the video you are viewing has that line. If it appears during dvd playback then you should update your drivers, codecs, and dvd software.

Don't worry too much about it. It's pretty much normal, if you can say that.

    Cheers,
    Mike

I tried to attach a picture of it, but I'm not sure it worked. It's kinda a bad picture anyways. It doesn't just occur during movie playback. It's whenever I switch to a video mode with <1050 lines. One wierd thing I noticed, is that if the screen turns off for power savings, after it comes back up, the line is alot smaller. It's wierd.

kaamview did you update your video drivers and install updated patches for your games???

I ask this because those issues are resolved with driver and game patch updates. Some games may not yet have patches that resolve this issue yet, but newer games should all be okay.

    Update your drivers and software~!!!

    Cheers,
    Mike
