Hey guys, after lurking aroundi nthese forums for a while I
have just bought a z70Va (refresh). The problem is that when im on AC power with the battery in its slot, the power supply randomly shuts off. it only comes alive when i power down my notebook, remove the battery, unplug and replug the power supply into the power socket and restart the machine.
secondly, my battery is not getting charged at all. the orange charge light comes on for a moment when i plug in the the power cable and then goes off. the battery is stuck at 47% charge.

my laptop is still under warranty.. if someone could give me a clue as to what is wrong here (the adapter the battery? the battery charging cicuit in the laptop?) then that would be a big helpas i could simply ask for a replacement for that particular thing.

    thanks a lot!

From what you've said, it does seem like there is a faulty connection with you AC adapter and your DC circuit.
Like you said, since it's still under warranty, I'd ask for a replacement.
