For those of you who own Z70Va's and never had the screen replaced that think their colors are all washed out and that it's normal, well it's not.
I had a screen with the red ghosting problem and even before that I thought the washed out colors and bleeding of colors in certain games was normal.
It is not, and you should get it looked after.
I had my screen recently replaced because of the red ghosting and wow it's like NIGHT and DAY.
My whites were yellowish and now they are white like they should be.
Blues are blue, reds are red, colors are just vibrant and bright.
Text is clearer, motion in videos or just scrolling webpages does not result in blurring anymore.
So the point of this thread is to help people know what your screen should look like and how it should perform.
When the screen is like it should be, it is beautiful and rivals any matte screen or even those glossy screens that aren't as bright as other glossy screens.
Just beautiful.
My screen has slight light leakage on the bottom, but not a big deal at all.
I use my screen plugged in or on battery at 80% brightness. Watching videos at lower brightness settings all the way down to 40% is still bright enough.
Hope this helps all of you with your Z70Va.
Cheers,
Mike

Didnt you complain once in a thread and said your screen just wasnt that impressive and that compared to other screens it wasnt bright and the colors werent that great. Because when i owned a z70v that was one of the best screens ive ever seen and it is as good as any glossy screen.

SRD...did you read my whole post?
I had my screen replaced and it's completely different from my old original screen.
That is the whole point of this thread, to give others insight into how their screen should look like, since I've had a crappy screen and now I have a great screen to compare it to.
Get it now?
Eddy...yeah it ghosts somewhat, but that's expected from LCDs. This unit is 10x better than the old one in terms of normal ghosting.
Faaaaaaaaaaaaantastic

I know you had it replaced. i was just asking if you had a thread a while ago complaining about the screen?
-
I did post complaining about the screen. That was before I got it replaced.
I just thought something was off and my screen wasn't as it should be, based on all the reviews and feedback from other Z70Va owners.
Guess what? I was right
The Z70Va matte screen is bright, vivid and beautiful, better than my 17" LG CRT.
Cheers,
Mike
