I just got a brand new Z70Va from CanadaSys.com today and it's awesome.

I just have a question about this "hyper memory" that's supposed to be in the new ati catalyst drivers.

Does anyone have this working? It's supposed to double the amount of video memory you have by dedicating system ram to your video card. It should double the 128MB to 256MB or so. You can check it by going to "run", typing "dxdiag.exe" and clicking the display tab.

I just installed the Catalyst 5.10 drivers and have had no luck. Is there a bios upgrade I should have? A different driver?

I read in a forum that someone upgraded the bios in a W3V and got to access to this infamous "hyper memory" as a result.

Anyone with a Z70Va have hyper memory working?

the question is why do you want it working? read the forums, it's just throwing valuable system ram away.

Unless the particular Radeon Mobility X700 you have is HyperMemory compatible, no amount of driver installing, flashing or tinkering will get it to work.

The product has to be an X700 with HyperMemory support before you can use it.

My notebook (Z70V, X600) reports a hyper memory amount of 256MB. Does this large amount have a negative influence on the overall speed? Yes??.....Is there an option to decrease this amount.... 256MB --> 128MB??

well considering it has absolutly no boost in performance and the fact that it takes away from system ram (which does boost performance if you have more) i'd say you'd probably want to look into disabling this frivolous feature.
